Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026. Learn how we respect your privacy through local storage and transparent data policies.

1. Local-First Philosophy

At Easy Smart Apps, we prioritize your data privacy above all. Our applications (including EasyEditor, EasyContextSwitch, WeatherWidget, and xMahjong) are architected as local-first software.

This means all documents, workspace layouts, environmental variables, credentials, notes, game states, and local files created or managed inside our software remain strictly on your local device. We do not operate remote application databases to store your workflow data.

2. Information Collection & Usage

We do not collect personal identification details, email addresses, names, or contact logs unless you voluntarily submit our contact form, email our contributors, or open public support issues on our GitHub repositories.

Our application modules handle data as follows:

  • EasyEditor: Operates local-first. Documents, notes, and local files remain strictly on your device. EasyEditor includes optional, non-personal diagnostic telemetry to help maintain app stability; this telemetry is strictly opt-in, collects no personally identifiable information (PII) or document text, and can be toggled on or off at any time via the About settings panel. AI completions (EasyAI) use client-configured APIs where your keys and prompts connect directly to the respective model provider without routing through an Easy Smart Apps intermediate server.
  • EasyContextSwitch: Saves terminal paths, editor session variables, and layout settings in an encrypted JSON format locally on your hard drive. No configuration data is synchronized to our servers.
  • WeatherWidget: Communicates with third-party weather providers (e.g., OpenWeather API) using client-side HTTP calls to fetch real-time forecasts for your current coordinates. Geolocation queries are handled on-device; we do not track or log your historical locations.
  • xMahjong: Runs fully offline in your browser or local system. No game telemetry is collected.

3. Cookies, Local Storage & Third-Party Advertising

Our web applications use browser Local Storage and Session Storage solely to preserve essential user preferences (such as dark mode settings, active workspace layouts, or UI state).

Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

4. Third-Party Services & External Links

Our website and documentation contain links to external sites, including GitHub and external documentation. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that external sites are not operated by us, and we advise you to review the Privacy Policy of those respective platforms.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time as our codebase, software features, or regulatory requirements evolve. We will notify you of any changes by publishing the updated policy text on this page. All changes are effective immediately upon posting.
